Getting Psyched!

I was just looking at the JonBarron.org web site, and he has exposed me for telling false stories on this blog. In the last blog I said you had to buy his book to read my story about my healing crisis. Not true: http://www.jonbarron.org/detoxing-health-program/09-29-2003.php

I still remember that hour or so as being one of the most life altering moments of my life! I can't wait for this next detox...I'm serious! The feeling afterward was phenomenal. Feeling the worst I can ever remember, and feeling the best I can ever remember within an hour of each other. I guess the proximity of those events only intensifies them.

Kind of like the time I was robbed at gunpoint while hitch hiking. I was scared, but too busy running away from the guys with the guns (and badges) to think about it much. Then later, feeling very elated, walking down the road, with only a hat, tee shirt, pants and shoes to my name, 1000 miles from home, but feeling like the luckiest man alive. Alive and well my friends. By comparison, makes being robbed seem like nothing. (Sorry Mom, I probably didn't tell you about that at the time.)

Now I still think you should get your hands on a copy of the book, though. I want to put a shout out to my friend Rachel. Thanks for being a follower of this blog. So far I think only five people have read it, but that will change soon, now that my email account is sending out again. Rachel, I haven't forgotten about sending you a copy of "Lessons from the Miracle Doctors," it is sitting here on my desk, and after I turn that English paper in tomorrow, I'll finally have time to mail it to you! Try to stay warm out there in Montana, honey.

Speaking of writing papers, I better get back to some school work now. Thanks for reading.

Later,
Matt

One week in

Going to school and doing a colon cleanse are not mutually exclusive.

I made it through my Anatomy and Chemistry exams today without having to get up and run for the bathroom.

That was a joke! I really haven’t had to run anywhere at all, and don’t expect that I will. I started the colon cleanse a week ago and I’m up to six capsules of Colon Corrective per day.

The last time I did this cleanse (Jan-Feb 2008), I took up to nine capsules a day. They seem to be working more easily this time, and I suspect it is because my diet is a little different now and I have been using nutritional supplements continuously since then. You start with one capsule a day, then increase by one a day until you “notice a significant improvement in the way your bowel works.”

The Colon Detoxifier is the real key to the colon cleanse. I am also using the Metal Magic detox formula and the Stone Breaker formula in anticipation of my upcoming liver/ gallbladder flush.
The last time I did a cleanse and a detox, it did not affect my work schedule or any of the other activities I was doing at the time. I felt ill during the detox phase for less than a day and really was incapacitated for only about two or three hours. Since that was my first cleanse, I expect that that was the worst case scenario.

Jon Barron called that episode a “healing crisis.” Basically, it was my body rejecting some very bad toxins that had collected in my liver and gallbladder over my lifetime. Through the colon cleanse and liver detox process, those toxins were finally provided a way to exit my body. In his book, “Lessons from the Miracle Doctors,” Jon describes my healing crisis as “on the severe side to be sure.” If this is the worst thing that can happen during a cleanse and detox, then a couple of hours of discomfort, with no harm done to my body, is a small price to pay for the obvious increased vitality and health I experienced afterward.

Baseline has the book on sale now for $15. It is the new expanded hardback edition and covers many aspects of a personal health care lifestyle. It is for sick people, and for healthy people who want to stay that way. My story is on page 84. If you know me, I usually have a copy or two kicking around to lend out. If you want to check out Jon’s book, order it here:

You can download the 2002 version of “Lessons from the Miracle Doctors” for free, but it doesn’t include my story, or the more readable new format or a bunch of updated information:

Another good source of information on the process that I am doing now is Jon Barron’s web site. Here is the specific detox information:

Check out the entire web site. It has tons of great information.

Thanks for reading this. Please feel free to comment, share your experiences or give encouragement (or harassment, you know who you are!).

Getting Started

My name is Matt Marcus. I have been racing bicycles since 1984 and actually making a living off bicycles since 1980, when I became a bicycle messenger in Washington, D.C. In 1988 I moved to West Virginia and became the manager, and later the owner of Blackwater Bikes in Davis. I sold the bike shop in 2000, but have continued to work there in the summer. I love the Davis, Thomas and Canaan Valley area of West Virginia, and feel lucky to have called it home for over 20 years.

Over those years, through my association with Blackwater Bikes, I have had the privilege of working with many athletes. Some of those athletes have reached the elite levels of competition, bringing home several National Championship and World Cup medals. Witnessing the ability of the human body to perform what many people would consider impossible feats, has convinced me that transforming the human body is not only possible, but probable for anyone with the will to do it.

One of my athlete friends introduced me to a sponsor of his professional road bike racing team. Baseline Nutritionals is a company that is based on a philosophy of uncompromising quality, intelligent formula design and formulation enhancements. The products are produced to support a “baseline of health” that is a key in reaching optimum well being.

I have been using these products for two years now and have been very happy, not only with the results I have been seeing in bicycle racing, but with my overall health and energy level. I would highly recommend these products to anyone trying to optimize their health or trying to overcome catastrophic illness.

I read the book “Lessons from the Miracle Doctors”, written by Jon Barron, founder of Baseline Nutritionals, and I became intrigued with the idea of intestinal cleansing and heavy metal detoxification being essential to bringing about optimum health. I tried the methods prescribed in the book and had great success with getting rid of some unwanted “excess baggage” that I was carrying with me. The following bike racing season, I had my best year ever, and I know it was intimately linked to my cleanse and detox.

I am now starting a cleanse and detox cycle, and I want to share my experiences with anyone and everyone who has an interest in this process. I know there are plenty of people who, like myself, understood the benefits of a cleanse and detox program, but never took the step to get started. Thanks to Baseline Nutritionals, I felt confident enough in the product and felt that I had the support of the people behind the company, the information in the book, the product literature and the web sites, (http://www.baselinenutritionals.com/ , http://www.jonbarron.org/) to finally take the step and begin. This will be my second cleanse and detox using Baseline products.

I am excited that my friend Tasha S. has agreed to do the cleanse and detox with me. This will be her first time, and it is nice to have someone here in person to compare notes with. Granted, the topic we are describing is pretty basic and mundane, but we are going to try and have some fun with it. Please feel free to comment or ask questions. Tasha and I are very busy in school right now, so I can’t guarantee a quick response, but I will do my best.

Thanks for reading,
Matt Marcus
